A room with an unexpected twist
The spacious room boasted a surprisingly comfortable bed, and the on-site restaurant offered a decent selection of meals. Parking was free and easy, making our stay stress-free.
Unfortunately, we encountered issues with cleanliness, including dusty corners and an uninviting shower. staff seemed rushed, leaving us waiting longer for service than we anticipated.

The hotel provided a comfortable and clean space, but the
noise from nearby train tracks was quite disruptive during the night. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the distant metro station made accessing the city a bit inconvenient for us.

Free parking availability, close to RAI Exhibition Center, ample storage space
Room maintenance problems must be addressed!!! Issues with insufficient staff presence during peak times can lead to longer wait times for assistance!!! Noise disturbances from external sources noticeably detracted from the overall experience!!!

Upon arrival, the reception staff was incredibly rude, which set a disappointing tone for our stay. The room was not spacious, and we found broken fixtures such as a window hinge and a plug hanging out of the wall. the cleanliness was lacking, as we discovered dust and hair in the upgraded room. it felt more like a rush job than a proper cleaning.

Good place with free parking, 24-hour reception, a bar/lounge area, and luggage storage. On my first stay, the staff kindly helped me with plug adaptors. I highly recommend it for a hassle-free stay. I’m coming back for a holiday!

Had a great time with friends! We loved the comfy rooms and the nice breakfast options. Be sure to check out Gelderland's nature parks and the Amsterdam ArenA for events. The hotel had free parking and was only a short walk to the train, making it easy to explore nearby attractions.
The bathroom was quite small, which made things a bit inconvenient for us.

I had a great time! The room was huge and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The breakfast had some nice items, but could use a bit more variety. I would definitely stay here again!

The Bastion Amstel offers a comfortable stay, but there are a few areas that need attention. The room had a nice setup with free coffee and bottled water, which was a pleasant touch. Breakfast had a good range including fresh fruit, yogurt, and an omelet station that was great. The service at breakfast was friendly, making mornings enjoyable. the cleanliness of my room was disappointing. The floor seemed neglected, remaining dirty throughout my visit. There were also issues with the smoke alarms going off unexpectedly, which was unsettling. The hotel isn't located in the city center, but Overamstel metro station is an easy ten-minute walk, making it simple to explore. All in all, the experience had its highs but could really benefit from better room maintenance.
